I "listened" to this book while driving from Fort Worth to Oklahoma City and back; I was a nervous wreck by the time it was over. The vocalization of the story compounded the palpable senses of fear, uncertainty, hate, loathing and despair of the various characters, as the plot tightens slowly and inexorably, like the death grip of a malevolent serpent .....The twists and turns! the perpetual uncertainty as to the fate of the characters, last moment `near" saves; the constant soul searching; how much more can I take!! Higgins is a master of inducing tension, relentless and unyielding; not for the impatient or the faint of heart. Read it if you dare!

To think this may be a future relevant world we just need to get there. Love to dream of the possibilities.
Loved it, great series, with many twists and turns to keep you on your toes. You can't just read the first book.
I have enjoyed every book in Higgins's series. I find it difficult to put her books down. I look very much forward to the next.
