This book made me want to read 60 to 70 more within months that i couldn't put down! It all started with finding this book in a beautiful cabin in Gatlinburg and it led to a beautiful relationship with the books that have been the best I've read of it's genre. This is definitely my favorite author. Everything I have read gets five stars and it started with this masterpiece!

I bought this book in hopes of a guilty pleasure. But the only one who's guilty is the writer -- of extremely bad writing. The whole thing reads like a painful freshman exercise in creative composition. The analogies are excruciating and the whole story is what comics would call "hack." Search for better trash elsewhere, perhaps an "old-reliable" like Jackie Collins or Judith Krantz.
Thanks to a good nurse, I read this "Chick" book while in the hospital. This is funny, witty, sexy and just overall enjoyable reading.
I never thought that I, (a guy), would enjoy a "Chick" book but guys, I was wrong. If you're looking for a fun book to read, and aren't worried that you might be gay because you're reading a chick book, then this book is it.

I got this book solely because of the title. I started reading it and I thought it was kind of cute. The writing is pretty good, and overall the book flows well.
My biggest problem is that the entire book has no guts - everything is a copout. Instead of making the hot girl fall for a true nerd, the "nerd" turns out to be just like in the movies, a total babe with his glasses and shirt off. Just like in the movies how the "nerd" girl wears glasses, a ponytail and overalls - the minute she lets her hair down she's hot. When in reality, she's hot with the glasses and ponytail! Complete copout on the writer's part. And the "nerd," Jack, doesn't dress bad because he's a nerd, he dresses bad cause he is colorblind. Another copout. I would have preferred to see the sophiscated hot women fall for a true nerd. But maybe that's just me? )
The storyline is a little farfetched, but I don't mind too much. I think it's a little unbelievable that Nick and Gen/Jack end up on the same island (especially since he jumped out of the plane WAY before they crashlanded!), and that Nick escapes the hospital so easily. Anything for confrontation I guess! I thought the romance between Gen and Jack was really cute, especially the insecurities they had about each other. It was fun to read about their adventures on the island, especially their "romance" scenes.
Overall, the book wasn't bad. I expected better, but I wasn't completely disappointed. )
This is a fun read. The characters are playful and yet the story is definitely "adult" oriented. The underlying message however is inescapable don't underestimate 'nerds.'" They can and will surprise you! I read this book on the plane during a long flight and it kept me totally engrossed. The outcome is predictable, but I wanted to know right until the end how the characters got there. I recommend this as a very enjoyable book.

Gen, originally from the backwoods, is now living in Hawaii and looking for the right man to marry, but she comes from a long line of women who make poor choices in men. Jack fell in love with Gen the first time he saw her but although Gen was nice to him she couldn't see past his nerdy appearance to the real man. Fortunately for Jack, Gen's poor choice of a man gives Jack the opportunity to reveal the man she wasn't seeing. It was enjoyable to watch how the two characters developed throughout the story. I especially liked all of the interactions between the characters. The story was filled with conversations. I looked forward to getting back to it each time I had to set it down.
What a couple 💑! Jackson and Genevieve are quite an interesting couple. Jackson (Jack) has been in love with Genevieve for quite some time. When they become stranded on a remote Pacific Island, things really hear up! The romance between Annabelle and Matt is something to behold also. In all a very delightful read!
I am so used to reading all of Vicki Lewis Thompson's multiple cowboy series', so I wasn't too sure how I'd like something like this. But let me tell you, I absolutely LOVED IT!!! This book had me in a emotional rollercoaster. It was a fun read, but also romantic, suspenseful, and at times a real tear jerker. The dialogue between Jack and Gen was so hysterical at times, especially with her country roots coming into play. But there was also a second story going on that I found equally as enjoyable, between Gen's mom and her boss Matt.

If you love stories that are funny, but a little suspenseful, too. Then you definitely won't want to miss this series.
